The Guitar Factory School teaches all ages and levels. Our staff are pros with decades of teaching experience.
Lessons
Weekly lesson block options for 4 , 5 or 10 weeks. The 5 week lesson block is standard. Flexi-times can be arranged.
Genres
Beginners to Advanced. We cover all styles including Rock-Pop-Jazz-Metal-Fingerstyle -Classical.

Our Staff
Hamish MacMillan
Ass. Dip. Jazz Studies . Manager – Guitar Factory School. Hamish has over 35 years teaching and playing experience. Studied Jazz at the Sydney Conservatorium . Has conducted workshops on a variety of musical concepts.
Areas – Blues, Jazz , Fingerstyle .
Available in Studio – Tuesday – Thursday.
Kieren Brereton
B.Mus Jazz Performance. Kieren is a 2018 Sydney Conservatorium graduate . Performs in disco-pop band Cosmic Spice and hip-hop band Sagrada Familiar. Kieren helps student’s realise their musical potential.
Areas – Rock, Blues and Jazz.
Available in Studio – Wednesday – Friday – Saturday.
Raimondo Fioravanti
B.Mus Contemporary Performance. Teaching many diverse styles for over16 years, Raimondo integrates theory, ear training and sight reading into his lessons. AMEB exams arranged.
Areas – Rock, Blues, Jazz, Pop and Classical.
Available in Studio – Tuesday – Thursday .
Rob Turner
Rob Turner is a veteran performer with vast teaching and playing experience. He currently performs with the Rockhoppers and the legendary Bellhops. Rob teaches any age or level.
Areas – Fingerstyle, Improvisation and Reading.
Available in Studio – Tuesday.
Robert Mouat
B.Mus Contemporary Performance. 10 years teaching to all levels. Robert’s approach is tailored to the individual. He strives to bring out the students’ natural talent in an engaging and enjoyable way.
Areas – Vocals, Rock, Jazz and Pop.
Available in Studio – Monday – Wednesday – Friday.
Dave Carr
Bus.Studies(Musicology), m.AUSTAT(Alexander Technique). 25 years teaching experience. He performs in fusion band Fabulous Contraption and gypsy fusion band Lolo Lovina.
Areas – Classical, Metal, Rock, Jazz and Banjo.
Available in Studio – Thursday.
Richard McEwen
AMEB Grade 8 Classical Guitar. Guitar and Vocals with classic Aussie rock band ‘Pirana’ in the 70’s. Teaching guitar through the 80’s then 20 years as Computer Programmer. Again teaching music has entered candidates for AMEB Classical Guitar and Violin and assists with HSC Elective Music. Areas – Guitar, Violin, Piano, Flute and Contemporary Singing.
Available in Studio – Monday to Saturday.

Great experience all around! My daughter took lessons from Hamish and she really enjoyed them. I really liked that he made her keep a notebook of the lessons and made sure she brought it. After trying to learn with YouTube or other websites I stopped to notice any progress. There was no goal in my learning, I was just reading and watching random content that far too often was beyond my current level and only demotivated me . In January 2021 I signed up with Hamish, that was the best decision I’ve made to up-skill my playing, understanding the basics of the music and to connect it all together. You want to be taught by someone who is able to adjust their content to your level.
Awesome teaching from Hamish. He taught my 12 year old, starting off during covid lock down and did incredibly well. My daughter loved it. He was supportive, encouraging and set a great mix of songs to challenge her. I can highly recommend.
